Colombia Washed Huila
Women Producers – ASPROTIMANA
Medium Roast
This coffee comes from the hills of Timaná, Huila, where 53 women producers are redefining what ownership, quality, and sustainability look like in Colombian coffee.
Organized through ASPROTIMANA (Asociación de Productoras Agrícolas de Timaná), these women grow and process coffee on small plots of land, cultivating not only exceptional coffee but long-term independence. Through the Programa Mujer Cafetera, and with support from SENA (Colombia’s National Training Service), each producer operates her own micro-mill, maintaining control over quality, processing, and the future of her farm.
This is coffee with intention, from seed to cup.
The Cup
Roasted to a medium profile, this coffee is designed to highlight sweetness, balance, and approachability. Expect a soft, comforting cup with notes of honeydew, delicate florals, and a smooth whipped cream finish. Clean and elegant, it’s the kind of coffee that feels familiar while still offering something special.
The Coffee
Grown at elevations between 1,590–1,750 meters, this fully washed lot is a blend of Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia varieties. The clay-rich soils of Timaná, paired with careful cultivation, create structure and clarity in the cup.
Cherries are hand-sorted, depulped, fermented, and washed before being dried slowly in solar dryers, protecting the coffee from rain and preserving sweetness and nuance.
Why It Matters
After processing, the coffee is exported through San Miguel, a family-owned exporter in Huila focused on traceable micro-lots and long-term producer relationships. This partnership ensures transparency, quality control, and most importantly, better premiums for women producers, supporting their families and communities for the long term.
Every bag represents ownership, craftsmanship, and dignity in coffee production.
This is a coffee meant to be enjoyed slowly: soft, expressive, and deeply rooted in the people who made it possible.
Long Live Farmers. Slow Down, Drink Up.
